As Bangladesh’s leading travel-tech and lifestyle company, ShareTrip is committed to driving social change beyond travel. In pursuit of a more inclusive and equitable future, ShareTrip has partnered with Give Bangladesh on two transformative initiatives—Project Lorai and Project Konna. These projects focus on economic empowerment and health awareness in marginalsed communities, reinforcing ShareTrip’s vision of sustainable progress in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Project Lorai
Project Lorai focuses on providing equitable access to economic opportunities for marginalised women, specifically in areas like Gaibandha and Sundarbans. The goal is to reduce gender and social bias in Bangladesh’s economy and foster financial independence among disadvantaged populations. Through empowering women and other marginalized communities, this project can boost long-term economic development in remote areas.
Key Activities:
- Sewing Training Facility (Purbo-Poshchim Campaign): Establishing a full-scale sewing training center to equip women with sustainable skills.
- Sustainable Livelihood for Tiger-Widows (Gorbhodharibni Campaign): Supporting widows of Sundarbans tiger victims through income-generating opportunities.
- Skilled Birth Attendants Training: Completing six months of training for birth attendants in riverbed communities to enhance maternal and neonatal care.

Goal 1: No Poverty | Creates sustainable livelihoods for marginalised communities. |
Goal 5: Gender Equality | Ensures economic inclusion for women and third-gender individuals. |
Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth | Provides skill development and employment opportunities. |
Project Konna
Project Konna tackles menstrual stigma in poverty-stricken regions where lack of awareness leads to health issues and school dropouts among young girls. The project promotes menstrual hygiene management and reproductive health education to ensure a healthier and more informed society. By focusing on health and education, this project creates supportive environments where girls and women can learn, grow, and lead without barriers.
Key Activities:
- School Retention Programs: Reducing school dropout rates by addressing menstruation-related barriers.
- Health Awareness Initiatives: Promoting menstrual hygiene management to lower health risks.
- Community Education: Breaking taboos and increasing knowledge about menstrual and reproductive health among underprivileged communities.
